Most of us would like to think actor Kevin Sorbo is, and forever will be, the shirtless hunk from Hercules. Sadly, Hercules was a long time ago. It is now 2014, and these days Sorbo sounds like a terrible person.
Writing on Facebook about the ongoing unrest in Ferguson, the actor mused āFerguson riots have very little to do with the shooting of the young man. It is an excuse to be the losers these animals truly are.ā
Give that a moment to sink in.
āIt is a tipping point to frustration built up over years of not trying, but blaming everyone else, The Man, for their failures. Itās always someone elseās fault when you give up.ā
Just to be clear that heās talking about African Americans, and not just protestors, he adds that Michael Brownās death is somehow a āreminder to the African Americans ( I always thought we just Americans. Oh, well.) that their President the voted in has only made things worse for them, not better.ā
Heās since deleted his comments and issued one of those half-assed āIām sorry to everyone I offendedā apologies instead of an actual āIām sorry I said some truly awful shitā.
The Raw Story captured more of what we wrote before it was pulled, however, including this gem: āThe media promotes chaos to boost their pathetic ratings. We should shut them all off and watch clips on the internet only when republished under fair use by a conservative media watchdog group.ā
Ah well. Weāll always have Xena
