OK, so this is pushing my normal beat of âtoysâ to its most extreme (and NSFW) fringes, but come on. This was too interesting to pass up.
Photographer Zackary Canepari has done a series called âLove Machinesâ, which is a range of fascinating, terrifying photos from the production floor of Abyss Creations, a sex doll manufacturer in California.
Iâm sure itâs intended to be a shocking contrast between the intimacy and âwarmthâ the finished product finds itself in and the cold, stark surroundings in which itâs constructed. But I can only see horrific science fiction movies waiting to be made.
Itâs like a waking version of that nightmare you once had about futuristic cyborgs with their faces falling off, shambling after you across an apocalyptic wasteland. Only, here, theyâre all in the nude.
