In this addictively epic edition of Speak-Up on Kotaku, commenter Aikage the Skilled Furby is having trouble dealing with the video game industryâs ever-changing buzzwords.
Apparently, âaddictiveâ is the new âepicâ. A while back we started seeing that every game included an âepicâ storyline where the fate of the universe rested in the balance. Now, every time I see a game, somewhere, somehow, the word âaddictiveâ will pop up like weâre all a bunch of crack addicts waiting for our next fix. Battle through 93 maps with old school addictive gameplay! Much like the word epic did, the word addictive now completely turns me off to a game.
If I wanted to be addicted to something Iâd go buy some Heroin and start shooting up.
About Speak-Up on Kotaku: Our readers have a lot to say, and sometimes what they have to say has nothing to do with the stories we run. Thatâs why we have a forum on Kotaku called Speak-Up. Thatâs the place to post anecdotes, photos, game tips and hints, and anything you want to share with Kotaku at large. Every weekday weâll pull one of the best Speak-Up posts we can find and highlight it here.
