Alice In Wonderland-Themed Anti-Drug Movie From 1971

Alice is menaced by a heroin-pushing king in this 12-minute-long Alice in Wonderland-themed anti-drug commercial by the Department of Health:

This drug abuse educational film portrays an animated fantasy based upon the characters in ā€œAlice in Wonderland.ā€ The film shows Alice as she toured a strange land where everyone had chosen to use drugs, forcing Alice to ponder whether drugs were the right choice for her. The ā€œMad Hatterā€ character represents Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD), the ā€œDormouseā€ represents sleeping pills, and the ā€œKing of Heartsā€ represents heroin. Ultimately, Alice concluded that drug abuse is senseless.
