After nearly five years with an iPhone in my pocket, I bought an Android phone last week. A HTC One XL. Itās a glorious phone, and I had been looking forward to providing a little more Android coverage on GAOTD, but seeing as Iāve gotten side-tracked playing old Lucasarts adventure games on the thing, I havenāt had enough time to play new Android games. Sorry. Maybe next week.
I did, however, find the time to play Toybox, a game we actually featured last week because it had a brilliant trailer. While cartoon man doesnāt make an appearance in the game, Iām pleased to say itās still an excellent iOS title, both because of its adorable art style (āSmall Kidās Toys Come to Lifeā) and its surprisingly challenging split-screen mechanic, which sees you controlling a shooter on the left and a Tetris-style puzzle game on the right.
