A loyal Kotaku reader contacted me yesterday to notify me that they needed to focus on schoolwork and would like to be blocked from our site for a bit. I didnāt want to ban this reader, so I offered a one-week commenting suspension. They accepted it and are now, hopefully, productively Getting Things Done.
I donāt think this kind of customer service should be kept secret, so Iāll offer it now to all: If anyone else is feeling too tempted to comment and really should be doing something else, let us know and weāll suspend you for a week.
Please keep on reading, though, alright? Reading isnāt too distracting, Iām sure.
(Fun side fact: After I mentioned on Twitter yesterday that I was doing this, the former head of Xbox Live policy enforcement, Stephen Toulouse told me that parents used to make similar requests for their kids to be briefly blocked from Xbox Live!)
