Retail giant Best Buy revealed yesterday that itâs looking to establish dedicated sales counters and staff just to manage the video games it sells.
Think of it as a GameStop within a department store, then.
Called a âgaming transformationâ and part of a âdrive toward number one industry positionâ, it will mean that Best Buy employs what it hopes will be âdedicated, informed, and engaged employees focused only on gaming.â
As a former games retail employee myself, I can only sayâŠbest of luck with that.
The new desks and staff should be in place by the end of the year.
