Over Twitter, Mojang founder and Minecraft creator Markus âNotchâ Persson said his company and Bethesda Softworks reached a settlement in their trademark dispute over Scrolls, the name Mojang has chosen for its next game.

âThe settlement is that we give them the trademark, get to keep the name, and wonât make an Elder Scrolls competitor using the name,â Persson tweeted just after noon EST.
Answering a question, Persson said Mojang did not have to pay âdamages.â Itâs unclear if any money changed hands for other purposes, although Persson said both sidesâ lawyers almost certainly made a lot of money.
