BioWare plans to make the Dragon Age last quite a long time, with one and a half to two years worth of downloadable content in the works for Dragon Age: Origins.
Speaking to MTV Multiplayer at the Game Developers Conference last month, BioWare VP Greg Zeschuk roundly complimented everyone reading this, explaining that half-assed downloadable content just wouldnât due for the savvy game consumer. Nope, weâre getting the entire ass this time around.
You have to remember that video game consumers are some of the smartest, most connected people on the planet. You canât trick them with anything, so donât even try. I donât think itâs so much as to trick them, as it is the strategy behind it has to be fully thought out. This is the reason that with âDragon Age,â our DLC strategy is doing it in maybe a year and-a-half or two years, planning exactly when youâre going to do it and how youâre going to do it. Some of our fans would really like us to extend the world, so itâs going to be something that will make the world even bigger and more interesting.
Did you see how he called us all smart and connected? I completely skimmed over the whole DLC thing, but weâre smart so itâs okay!
