Mark your calendars, Diablo, StarCraft, and Warcraft fans, as Blizzard lays out two dates in early June for you to attempt to spend $150 a ticket to BlizzCon 2010.
Like last year, Blizzard is selling tickets to its immensely popular fan gathering in two batches. The first batch goes on sale on Wednesday, June 2, and everyone who fails to purchase tickets that day can come back on Saturday, June 5 and fail to purchase tickets then. The June 2 tickets go on sale at 7PM Pacific time, while Saturdayâs sale kicks off at 10AM. Blizzard urges hopeful convention goers to make sure theyâve got a Battle.net account set up ahead of time.
âBlizzCon is a unique opportunity for our players to meet one another, strengthen the friendships theyâve formed online, and have a great time celebrating a shared passion for gaming together with Blizzard employees,â said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. âFor those who canât attend, weâre pleased to be providing an unprecedented level of access to the activities and attractions that BlizzCon has to offer.â
For those that donât make the cut, Comcast will be hosting a multi-channel pay-per-view stream of the event for $39.95, with certain tournaments being streamed over the internet for free.
