Civilization Revolutionises The iPhone

Just as we were wondering why Appleā€™s touch-screen platform is so lacking in strategy games comes the weekend release by 2K of an iPhone version of Civilization Revolution.

From what we can tell (having only played a few rounds of the lite version), itā€™s pretty much the same game as appeared on consoles last year, only with unexpectedly poor graphics.

The game is going for $5 or, if youā€™re feeling cheap, the lite version ā€“ which includes three nations, allowing you to play until the modern era ā€“ is free.
