The upcoming release of a Monkey Island 2 special edition is special not for the revamped graphics, but for the inclusion of a commentary track featuring the original gameâs creators: Ron Gilbert, Tim Schafer, and Dave Grossman.
While itâs not the first game to do so â Valve has been dropping them into games for a few years now â itâs certainly the most appealing weâve seen thus far, with Monkey Islandâs trio some of the smartest and funniest minds in the industry.
Theyâll be speaking about both their personal memories making the game and âbehind-the-scenes informationâ. The commentary will be accessible via a dedicated game mode when Monkey Island 2: Special Edition is released sometime in the summer.
