Here’s a game you might not have heard of. Iron Conflict, a WW2-focused online multiplayer RTS that launched in early access in January 2021, will see its servers shut down on July 27. Developer Angela Games delivered the news on the game’s official Steam page, confirming that the in-game shop that sold battle passes and currencies locked up its virtual doors on April 27. The studio also said that while July 27 is the planned shutdown date, this time “may be changed without prior notice.” So, although you can download Iron Conflict for free (as of the time of this writing), if you boot up the game and can’t log in, chances are the servers have been shut down earlier than expected. Oof.
