Another Activision-owned title arrives on Game Pass soon. This time itâs Blizzardâs classic and iconic Diablo. The action RPG is coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC next week alongside a few other games making the leap to the standard tier.
Released in 1997, the original Diablo was a massive success and helped popularize the loot-driven action RPG genre that is still going strong in 2024. Games like Path of Exile and Torchlight owe a lot to the original Diablo and its demon-filled dungeons. And soon, if youâre a Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass PC subscriber, youâll be able to play the original Diablo on your personal computer.
As confirmed by Xbox in the first âComing To Game Passâ announcement of 2025, Blizzardâs Diablo will be available on Game Pass starting on January 14. The classic ARPG will only be available to install and play on PC, but considering how old Diablo is in 2024, Iâm fairly sure your PC can play it. Yes, even that crappy one in your basement you havenât touched in like three years.
Beyond Diablo, EAâs UFC 5 is also coming to Game Pass Ultimate on January 14, but only for Xbox Series consoles and cloud users. And narrative game Road 96 is available starting today on all tiers of Game Pass.
Hereâs the rest of whatâs coming to Game Pass Standard:
Rolling Hills (Console) â January 8
Robin Hood â Sherwood Builders (Xbox Series X|S) â January 8
My Time at Sandrock (Console) â January 8
Lightyear Frontier (Xbox Series X|S) â January 8
And finally, itâs not all good news. Here are the games leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15. Remember, if you want to keep playing any of these titles you can buy them now at a discount if you are an active Game Pass subscriber.
