Ha! Do I meet up with other people? Not recently. Iā€™m lucky if I leave the house. Seriously. Iā€™m a hermit. My new place will turn me into more of a hermit, I fear. Itā€™s up in the mountains ā€” a nice neighborhood, swish, and all that. But a tad on the remote side.

ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦Not sure why some sales people do this, but this afternoon when I was trying to change my phone number to another phone company for my new place, the phone guy kept a steady stream of fast chatter. When I said I wanted to think about something, he said that I needed to make a decision by today or thereā€™d be a delay, stuff like that.

I donā€™t respond to that kind of sales pressure at all. Actually, it makes me less interested and totally suspicious! Why canā€™t I wait a day? I want to wait a day. No, I want to wait several days.

And when I told the guy I would decide tomorrow wouldnā€™t stop talking, blah, blah, blah. Not pleasant! I know the guy is trying to make a sale, but really, this hard sell has made me want to look elsewhere. Who responds to this kind of sales tactic?!
