DSi XL Passes The Pants Test

The DSi XL is a large portable gaming device, with a bigger screen and graphics, but is the design too large?

My dad has a theory, and it’s a pretty good theory too. When I told him about the iPad he said that anything too big to fit in a pocket might as well be a laptop. In other words, if you have to put it into a bag to carry it around it’s not really that convenient any more.

True. The iPad, as sexy as it might look and feel, won’t slip into your pocket. But what about the DSi XL?

I tested Nintendo’s over-sized DSi in a number of different pockets and pouches and discovered that despite being bigified it actually fits quite comfortably in just about anything you might wear… even if you’re a dog. But, if you’re an 8-year-old you’re going to need some BIG pockets.
