Epic Trolling with Added Profanity in Beijing

Those who took the Line 5 on the Beijing subway home tonight were greeted with a surprise: big eff yous plastered all over the place.

Chinese news site iFeng shows numerous screens and display read, ā€œWang Peng ni meiā€ (ēŽ‹é¹ä½ å¦¹) or as ShanghaiIst explains: it’s literally ā€œWang Peng, your sisterā€, but that means something like, ā€œWang Peng, fuck youā€ in English. (It can also mean a slightly more lighthearted ā€œWang Peng, fuck offā€).

No wonder station employees scrambled to cover up the messages.

What isn’t clear is why the monitor system was displaying this message. Did someone hack the system? Is this a disgruntled worker? Who is Wang Peng?
