Entertainment Software Ratings Board descriptionās are a welcome recent addition, clinically telling us about all the naughty, neat things that transpire in our Mature-rated video games. Take the ESRBās recent rating of Bayonetta, for example.
The Platinum Games developed title gets extra clarification for its ātorture attacks,ā the enemy-finishing moves that relieve Angels of their heads via guillotine and rip characters apart by way of shrieking hair demons. Itās the āsuggestive themesā and āpartial nudity,ā however, that will likely have parents incensed, should they have the internet wherewithal to look up Bayonettaās rating.
Be forewarned. Thereās jiggling, gyrating and outfit shredding, says the ESRB.
During the course of the game, some female characters perform suggestive taunts and poses, including opening their legs or gyrating their hips. Some of the more provocative outfits are shed during battle, resulting in brief depictions of buttocks and breasts. The camera occasionally pans close-up on breasts as they are jiggling.
Clearly, the game is not intended for the kids, as evidenced by the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gameās M-rating and over-the-top titillating presentation.
But I think weāre grown up enough to handle it.
