This was the scene outside San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H yesterday, after rumors flew that legendary bird Pokemon would be released during Niantic’s Pokemon Go panel. It didn’t happen, but hundreds of people still gathered outside the building (the panel filled up fast) in hopes of being among the first to catch one. “I’m gonna leave the game open,” I heard one person say after the panel ended. “Just in case.”
