About F1® 25

The latest edition in the historically successful series of Formula One video games by Codemasters under EA Sports is the F1 25 (F1® 25). It’s more than just racing in circles — it hands you the entire Formula One world to play with, from drivers to crews and cars. This game features drivers and cars of the official 2025 championship, as well as teams from F1, F2, F3, and even the Formula One movies (by and with Brad Pitt).

The idea sounds simple — pick your team, tune the car, and throw yourself onto the grid against AI or live racers online. But under that simplicity sits an elaborate system quietly shaping how everything feels. Braking zones feel grittier. There is very light resistance to steering that is only experienced on race days. The bumps on the track make each lap an individual one. Even small tweaks — like tire wear or a sudden drizzle — shift how the car grips and reacts.

The creators avoided turning it into an arcade blur; they stuck close to realism and full simulation. Braking Point is a story mode that keeps the drama alive, though it is optional. You have options not to play it and instead go directly to the career or online seasons. Anyone who’s been playing since the F1 2010 era will feel how much heavier, steadier, and closer to real racing it’s become.

If you want to jump into the world of Formula 1 racing, the game is available for download for Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Why Should I Play F1 25?

You don’t have to be a racing junkie to get into it. You will relate to it once you have experienced the excitement of seeing the lights go out on Sunday. F1 25 lies in-between simulation and entertainment. Every driver error counts. Every overtake feels earned. The physics engine has gone through another round of fine-tuning.

Cars are lighter in straights and stiffer in corners. There are fewer bizarre moves of the AI. Pit-stop time is far more realistic. One of the first things you notice is how clean the cockpit view looks — less glare, more focus, and that low, gritty hum of the engine.

It is not just about driving faster. It has to do with controlling the race weekend practice sessions, set-ups, qualification, and strategy. In career mode, you manage the team, budget, and upgrades — and see how far you can push before hitting the limits of power or skill. Haas has a 10th anniversary event, which gives added flavor to those who like historical setups.

Even with EA’s name on it, it keeps microtransactions and glam effects to a minimum. You play and you race, you advance. That’s it. It has a more adult tone, is less glamorous, and is more directed towards what the fans want since the previous few entries.

This official F1® 25 license offers you every driver of the F1 25 grid: Piastri, Norris, Hamilton, Verstappen, Alonso, Sainz, all of them; and their teams: Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull, Haas, and the others. And that’s not all! Yes, the F1 25 game also introduces the famous Apex Grand Prix team with Sony Hayes as its leader, as seen in the Formula One movie with Brad Pitt.

Want more? No problem, you can also play with F2 and F3 drivers or create your own team with a full personalization mode!

Is F1 25 Free-to-play?

No. F1® 25 is not a free-to-play game to download. It’s a full-price release from EA Sports and Codemasters — a complete game built for the full experience. It has been issued in the standard or deluxe version, which has to be purchased depending on the platform. Sometimes you might catch a free weekend or short demo (through EA Play subscription), but the core game stays paid.

Where Can I Download F1 25?

F1 25 is found on most contemporary systems. On PC, you can download it from Steam and the EA App. It is also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Unlike before, there’s no fresh release for PS4 or Xbox One — showing Codemasters has fully moved into next-gen territory.

It runs smoother and loads faster on the newer consoles, with sharper detail and steadier frames. It brings with it 4K realism, more realistic track environments with ray-traced reflections, and increased detail. PC players can tweak just about everything — from weather detail to the driver’s helmet finish. PC steering wheels, VR headsets, and pedals are also supported, which makes the gameplay more similar to a simulation seat experience.

Another strength is online crossplay. You can race with friends across other platforms, take part in ranked races, or take part in communal time trials. EA’s servers are steadier now, too — fewer mid-race drops, smoother lobbies. F1® 25 runs well on any setup, whether you’re chilling with a controller or strapped into a full sim rig with feedback gear.

Which Games Should I Play When I Like F1 25?

Le Mans Ultimate is based on endurance racing: long hours, changing drivers, and even the weather that not only tests speed, but concentration as well. It is the FIA World Endurance Championship game. You get iconic circuits like Spa, Fuji, and Le Mans itself. It is based upon the same simulation as F1 25, but behaves more patiently, and each pit stop and tire change has a cost. The cockpit view is gorgeous — dust smears, shifting light, and subtle shakes that make you feel like you’ve been running six hours straight. It is slower but more significant in devotion.

This one’s a nostalgic nod for anyone who grew up around Japan’s street-racing scene. Tokyo Xtreme Racer on mobile is not attempting to reproduce Formula One accuracy. It is more about fashion, night races, and street combats. You begin with small cars, then make some cash and gradually mold your machine. The reflections from the lights and skyline bring the city alive, especially when you’re racing through Tokyo’s C1 loop. It’s lighter than F1® 25, but perfect when you just want short bursts of racing fun. It still has this feel of competition, but looser, less serious, with an arcade rhythm.

F1 Clash is a light version of the Formula One world. It is not about the operation of the cars themselves. It’s about managing them. You act as the team principal — setting pit strategies, upgrading parts, and facing other players in real-time duels. It has got a license as well, so the drivers and teams are not fake. To a person who likes the management aspect of F1 25 but wants something simpler to play on a mobile, F1 Clash is scratching that itch. It’s fast, strategy-driven, and oddly addictive once you start perfecting setups and fuel plans.
