Adidas, after apparently losing its mind, decided to add a bit of augmented reality to a new line of their shoes.
The AR Game Pack is a set of five shoes that will each have an AR code printed on the tongue of the shoe. When you remove your shoe and hold the tongue up to a web camera it will grant you access to a āvirtual version of the adidas Originals Neighborhood.ā
The AR shoes hit the U.S. on Feb. 15. Each month between February and April will see the launch of a new interactive game in the neighborhood. Oh, I forgot to mention, according to adidas āyour shoe will be the game controller.ā
