A 23 year-old man has been fined by a German court after drugging his girlfriend so that he couldâŚplay some more video games with a friend.
The Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung report (via The Local) that the unnamed man committed the crime last year, when his girlfriend arrived home late to find him playing console games with a buddy.
Sheâd been hoping for a quiet nightâs rest, not two men shouting at a TV, so the man prepared her a drugged cup of tea. She slept until noon the next day.
âThen I got up and drove to work although I was nodding off again and again,â the womanânow the guilty partyâs ex-girlfriendâtold the judge.
Having admitted the crime first to the woman, and then the judge, the man was fined âŹ500. âYour girlfriend slept long and deeplyâ, the Judge said, âwhich didnât harm her, but this is certainly a premeditated bodily harm.â
