Starting this April, a new menās shop called āStrict-Gā is opening in both Tokyo and Shizuoka. It will feature Gundam flavored clothing and accessories from Japanese brands, such as Edwin.
Bandai Namco is also producing āoriginalā clothing items, such as shirts, pants, and jackets that cost between US$100 and $350āor higher.
Because if you are spending $200 on cargo shorts, you want to spend $200 on Gundam cargo shorts. Or something.
This fashion-meets-anime seems to be a trend of sorts. Last fall, a Neon Genesis Evangelion fashion boutique opened in Tokyo.
