A hacker claiming to be a software engineer from Belarus broke into online game Heroes of Newerth earlier this week, stealing passwords and account information from developer S2 Gamesā database.
āI hacked HoN because thereās nothing as hilarious as seeing a bunch of fanboys of a game get enraged over the fact that their favourite game has been hackedā, they wrote in a Reddit thread boasting of their efforts.
āI guess Iāll do League of Legends next as this was so funny.ā
The odds of a single person being able to crack the security of one of the biggest online games in the world are remote, but hey, stranger things have happened.
