Itâs 2011. Youâve seen how movies are made. Youâve seen how video games are made. But have you seen how video game toys are made?
This clip shows how McFarlane, who have the main license to produce Halo action figures, has developed its line over the years. Beginning with the actual in-game models used by Bungie, prototypes are spat out of a 3D printer before theyâre moulded, cast, sanded back, trimmed, assembled and painted.
Note that this is just the process for prototype figures. Production figuresâthe ones that are made in the thousandsâdonât get quite the same level of attention.
