In case youâve
forgotten about them, Zynga still exists. And they still have enough money
to acquire other smaller game development companies. The Farmville company just
announced that, for $527 million dollars, theyâve bought NaturalMotionâthe creators of the Backbreaker, Clumsy Ninja and CSR Racing seriesâand that theyâll be
reducing their workforce by 15%. A note from former Xbox exec Don Mattrick explains
things here. With
this move, Zynga now has some promising franchises and a middleware business.
They might just surprise folks yet.
