Over the weekend, EA published a list of all the digital retailers youâd be able to preorder Battlefield 3 from. There were dozens of stores. Yet Steam wasnât one of them.
Thatâs led to speculation that, in the wake of the recent, ahem, change in relationship between EA and Steam owners Valve, you wonât be able to buy the game on the PCâs most popular digital shopfront.
Case in point: recent EA release Alice: Madness Returns wasnât available for preorder on Steam. Yet on the day of its release, bam, it magically appeared for sale on Valveâs service.
The same may well be true in this case. Weâve contacted EA to see whatâs up, and will update if we hear back.
