Even when theyâre being protected by bigger, stronger adults, the children whoâve survived in The Last of Usâ fiction are seeing horrible things. Just like in this fan film.
If nothing else, Aloneâa TLOU fan film made by Australian film-making collective Pocketsquareânails the moody nihilism of Naughty Dogâs hit game. Sure, the nameless dude and kid are surviving their encounters with terrible humans and creepy Clickers. But, it doesnât seem like things are going to get better.
Alone also manages to translate the feeling of playing The Last of Us, too, where youâre moving through incredibly lovely environments that get interrupted with spastic life-or-death struggles. That kid may live to get to Boston, but what kind of life is he going to have?
