Konami Updates MGSV: The Phantom Pain, Makes Ocelot Playable on FOBs

Never mind that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain came out in September 2015 or that most people are now playing something else. Konamireleased an update for the game, making Ocelot playable onForward Operating Bases.

Here are the patch notes regarding Ocelot:

Ocelot is finally available in FOB missions !

You can play as Ocelot to infiltrate FOBs. You cannot change the uniform or the head option, but Ocelot has a slightly increased camouflage value, and he reloads and draws his weapons faster. He can use one pistol in each hand with the TORNADO-6. He can also use ricochet bullets on marked enemies.

*The defense value matches the highest defense value within the unlocked battle dresses.

The update also added things like new functionalities for the Wormhole Generator, FOB staff swimwear, and two new solider suits. It also fixed some minor bugs.

It’s nice to see a game continue to get support, but it’s rather odd that The Phantom Pain is getting an update now. The last prior update was in August 2016!

Guess now is as good a time as any to fire up Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain again.
