The 2010 Tokyo Game Show kicks off tomorrow, and Kotaku will be there. But what will we be doing there? We’ll be playing games. Talking to people who make games. Talking to people who don’t make games. Sitting in on press conferences. Eating fancy food. Photographing cosplayers. Eating crummy Makahari Messe food court food. And…
Proving you can’t keep a good, albeit frilly series down, Capcom tonight revealed a fifth game in the Devil may Cry series, simply titled “DmC”. Not much was shown other than a fancy cinematic trailer, though we do know the game will star series favourite Dante, looking decidedly younger and more rebellious than we’re accustomed…
Capcom’s press event tonight contained a pleasant surprise: an all-new title from the Japanese developer, going by the name of Asura’s Wrath. It’s a multiplatform hack-and-slash title, blending elements of Eastern mythology and religion, including a giant Buddha in space. The game is still quite early in development, Capcom says.

Serving as an “epilogue” to the latest game, it will star both Dead Rising 2’s Chuck Greene and Dead Rising’s Frank West. Which explains that photo of the two together Case West will be a downloadable title, similar to…

Someone has gone to the trouble of concocting a fake trailer for a live-action Pokemon movie, complete with in-progress watermarks and surprisingly decent special effects. We love it. The moody music, the dramatic over-acting, the impressive evolving effects; as an exercise in fan fantasy, it’s a blast. A real movie like this, today, would of…
