LittleBigPlanet, Braid Lead Game Developers Choice Award Finalists

Organizers of the ninth annual Game Developers Choice Awards have announced this year’s finalists, with Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet leading the nominees with seven nominations, including Best Game Design and Game of the Year.

Hot on the heels of the PlayStation 3 exclusive was Braid, which saw five GDCA nominations, including Best Debut and Innovation. Other multi-award nominees include Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, Fable II and—potentially more distressing to the “Overrated!!” peanut gallery—Grand Theft Auto IV. Yes, even game developers like GTA IV!

The Game Developers Choice Awards winners and not-quite-winners will be officially announced Wednesday, March 25th in a ceremony at the Game Developers Conference to be hosted by Double Fine’s Tim Schafer. Full list of potential winners is right after this…
