A villain from Iron Man is reportedly set to return in Vision Quest, the next WandaVision spin-off.
Way back in 2008, Marvel put out the first Iron Man starring Robert Downey Jr. and began building what would become one of the most successful media franchises in history: The Marvel Cinematic Universe, aka the MCU. And now, dozens of movies later, a new report claims that one of the villains from that very first Iron Man film, Raza, is returning in a new MCU TV show. Are you excited? Do you even remember Raza? Well, it doesnāt matter; heās back, baby!
On January 14, Deadline reported that its sources had confirmed that actor Faran Tahir was set to appear in the upcoming Paul Bettany-led Vision Quest series. Tahir played Raza, the terrorist leader in charge of the group responsible for kidnapping and injuring Tony Stark. According to the outlet, Tahir is returning specifically to reprise his role as Raza.
Now if you do remember his role as Raza in Iron Man, then you might remember that in the movie he uhā¦died. I wonāt reveal specifics in case you havenāt seen Iron Man and want to watch it, but yeah, heās dead. But death rarely stops characters in comic books or superhero movies from returning. Perhaps heās from a different universe or he didnāt actually die or heās a clone. I donāt know, throw a dart at a board covered in options and whatever you land on will work fine enough.
Also returning in this new Vision Quest series is James Spader who will reprise his role as Ultron, another character who died at the end of the movie he appeared in. But heās a robot-AI-thing, so maybe heās like a back-up copy someone had on a floppy disk somewhere.
No release date has been announced for Vision Quest, which was first revealed back in 2022. The series will air exclusively on Disney+ like WandaVision and its first spin-off, last yearās Agatha All Along.
