Man, this year has been rough. This season has been rough. Did you see that THQ plans to layoff 600 people? I can’t imagine what it must be like in places central to game development right now, like San Francisco.

It’s already pretty bad in general in the U.S. with all of the layoffs, but things have to be really bad there. Lets hope things start turning around in the next few months. Though someone was just telling me about how a few smaller companies are already dropping out of this year’s GDC. Let’s hope that doesn’t spread to the bigger ones.
