Creepy little physic girl Alma is back, and sheâs bringing the kids with her in F.E.A.R. 3, with a new developer and the minds behind Halloween and 30 Days of Night taking the horror to all new heights.
While the logo still says F.3.A.R., the official press release is calling the game F.E.A.R. 3, so weâll keep using that moniker for the third game in the psychic horror shooter franchise. Itâs undergoing enough changes as it is.

Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive has that covered as well, with famed horror director John Carpenter (Halloween, The Thing) and 30 Days of Night writer Steve Niles acting as consultants to enhance the gameâs scary bits.
Alma returns for the third game, but her sons, Point Man and Paxton Fettel, are the stars, both featuring unique powers to help create what the developer is calling divergent co-op, where the charactersâ powers effect each players game, and not just their own.
âAfter working closely with Monolith, Day 1 is honored to bring the next iteration of the F.E.A.R. franchise to gamers with key elements of the past games yet providing fresh combat and horror experiences in F.E.A.R. 3,â said Denny Thorley, Founder and President, Day 1 Studios. âPlayers can look forward to new features such as divergent co-op, an evolved cover system, and more scares in F.E.A.R. 3.â
Honestly I will miss Monolith, but maybe this will free them up to do a new SHOGO game, and I can finally shut up about that.
F.E.A.R. 3 is due out on PC and consoles this fall.
