Faux rockers Spinal Tap are releasing Back From The Dead on June 16th and Harmonix is on point, with three songs from the new album hitting Rock Band next week, along with a little Evanescence.
âBack from the Dead,â Rock ânâ Roll Nightmareâ and âWarmer Than Hellâ comprise three of the four tracks in the Spinal Tap Pack, along with âSaucy Jackâ, a song about Jack the Ripper previously only available on the bandâs website. The pack is promoting the new combination album and DVD release, which will be punctuated by a live reunion concert at Londonâs Wembley Arena on June 30. Bassist Derek Smalls comments on the track pack.
âTap has always gone where the audience is. We hope this time the audience reciprocates. Whatever that means.â
For those of you who take your music a little more seriously, next week also sees the release of the Evanescence Track Pack, featuring two songs from The Open Door â âCall Me When Youâre Soberâ and âWeight of the Worldâ â along with their smash hit âBring Me To Lifeâ, which is one of those songs you just assume was already in Rock Band.
Both packs will be available on June 16th for the Xbox 360 and June 18th for the PlayStation 3.
Somehow I got through this entire post without making a âgoes to 11â reference. I think I deserve pizza.
