For those worried that One Piece might be ending sooner rather than later, donāt be. In a recent interview, the mangaās creator, Eiichiro Oda, says he wonāt be slowing down anytime soon.
āAfter 17 years, after more and more new characters being created in the story, I couldnāt stop inspiration coming into my head,ā Oda told ChinaTimes (via OPForum). āI think I can continue drawing for another decade.ā
Oda then added that new characters will be joining the One Piece crew.
The famed manga creatorās busy work schedule is rather infamous. In 2012, Oda said he slept from 2am to 5am, spending his waking hours hard at work on One Piece. āI have no days off,ā he said at the time. āIf I had them, Iād want to go on vacation with my family. I just want to go outside, it doesnāt matter where. See, I donāt get out much.ā
