Forget the cash, downloads and merchandise: you know youâve really made it when law enforcement agencies start using your gameâs name for raid operations.
Operation âAngry Birdsâ went down in New York on Saturday night and Sunday, with state investigators arresting nine people in connection with an illegal cockfighting circuit that also saw around 3000 birds freed from captivity.
The raids took place in Queens, Brooklyn and Ulster County, and involved personnel from the Attorney Generalâs department, NY state police and U.S. Department of Homeland Security officers.
No pigs were harmed.
