Seen here are images from the upcoming Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land iPhone game. In them we catch a glimpse of some of the gameâs characters under attack by the undead and Dark Young.
Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land is in development by Red Wasp Design. While the World War One themed turn-based strategy game is hitting the IPhone and iPod first, it will eventually be coming to the iPad, Android, PC and consoles.
The developers are working with Chaosium, the folks behind the role playing game based on Lovecraftâs work, to make this title.
âLovecraft and his peers created really iconic monsters that tap into our deepest fears,â game designer Tomas Rawlings said in a press release. âAs huge fans of his stories, weâve worked really hard to transfer the essence of these alien horrors into a game form. Weâre blending the core ideas of the classic role-playing game along with our experience of gameplay design all wrapped in our new 3D engine to craft what we hope is a gaming experience of malignant evil!â
