Veteran British rockers Pink Floyd have told the BBC that, were the offer to come up to create a Rock Band/Guitar game based on the band, theyâd definitely âconsider itâ.
Itâs an unusually positive outlook from an old-timey rock band, who call the games âinteresting new developmentsâ, particularly since so many other ageing acts â Aerosmith excluded â are so down on the genre.
But donât think it has as much to do with video gaming as it does music sales, with Floydâs Nick Mason saying âI think weâd consider it. I think everyoneâs looking at new ways of selling the music because the business of selling records has almost disappeared.â
âIâm of the old guard who are really sad about that, because I always liked the concept of the album â rather than just cherry-picking tracks â and also the business of the art work that went with it.â
