Animation studio Pixar has since 1995 released a total of 19 feature films. Some have been excellent. Others have not.
For the purposes of science and posterity, then, here is a ranking of all 19 of those films. If your own beliefs do not align with these, you may carry on with your day knowing that youâll be fine.
19. Cars 3
18. Cars 2
17. Cars
16. Finding Dory
15. Brave
14. Toy Story
13. A Bugâs Life

11. Monsters University
10. Inside Out
9. Up
8. Toy Story 2
7. Ratatouille
6. Coco

1. Toy Story 3
NOTES:
There are people in this world who will say âOh, I actually think Ratatouille is the best Pixar movieâ, because they want to be the person who says âOh, I actually think Ratatouilleâ is the best Pixar movieâ. Do not listen to these people.
Have you seen the original Toy Story recently? That movie is terrible. And the toys themselves are even worse. It should be called âWoody And His Dumb Friends Spend 82 Minutes Being Assholes To Each Otherâ.
âUp is so moving! How is it so low!â No, the first few minutes of Up are moving. The movie slides steadily downhill from there, to a place (geriatric duelling?) not even Russell can save us from.
The list doesnât get messy until 12. Bugâs Life is forgettable, sure, but itâs still a fun movie about bugs. Itâs only when you get to Toy Story, Brave (aka Sleep), Nemoâs Unecessary Sequel and the Three Films Which Shall Not Be Named that youâre dealing with actual bad movies.
UPDATE â Updated in February 2016 to include The Good Dinosaur. Which, misleadingly, was not very good at all, laying its pathos on a little too thick.
UPDATE 2 â After intense internal debate in October 2016, Ratatouille has moved up to #6.
UPDATE 3 â Finding Dory enters, and is lucky the Cars movies exist, or it would be at the very end of the list.
UPDATE 4 â Itâs January 2018, and Coco slides into the top half of the list. Cars 3 does not.
