Bullseye may not have a score, an objective, a plot, but itâs an application begging to be played with. A music video thatâs made better by your poking, tilting and curiosity.
Moonbot Studios, the folks behind the wonderful The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, created this little interactive music video for The Polyphonic Spreeâs first single from their new label, Good Records Recordings.
The $1.99 app includes both an acoustic and studio version of the song Bullseye. You donât really need to do anything to enjoy the music. Just load the app, tap the screen and an animated music video reels out on your screen. But you can also take charge of the video, touching and swiping the colorful background of swirls, creatures and vegetation to bring the animated world to more life.
The narrative music video revolves around a small puff-ball of a creature called the You-Me. The listener becomes the player as they touch the world around the creature, making plants blossom, creatures spring to life, and even moving You-Me around.
Itâs an interesting blending of music and interaction that may challenge your notion of what a game is, but will certainly enrich your day as well.
