PlayStationâs holiday sale is feeding gamers well this year. A ton of titles have prices marked down, including games scooping up awards or that just came out. And since just about all of these are available on both the PlayStation 4 and 5, you wonât have to worry about missing out just because you couldnât get your hands on one of those elusive next-generation consoles.
There are pages of games listed on the PlayStation Networkâs holiday deals section, but these are some we think are the most notable.
Deathloop
Deathloop quickly gained interest when trailers first dropped ahead of the wave of next-generation consoles. It, unsurprisingly, features loop-based gameplay, stealth, and plenty of shooting. But Deathloop truly shines in its voice acting. Jason E. Kelley as protagonist Colt and Ozioma Akagha as antagonist Julianna are phenomenal as they play off each other in quippy banter. The ability to raid other playersâ games as Julianna is also a fun twist that can up the ante. Circle back on this one for $29.99.
It Takes Two
If youâre spending the holidays with others, this might be the perfect time to grab It Takes Two if you havenât already. Itâs couch co-op gameplay is phenomenal and never wastes an opportunity to make use of that push, pull, and come together gameplay style. Itâs on sale for $19.99 but less if you split it.
Resident Evil Village
Ethan Winters went through quite the journey in Resident Evil Village. This generation of Resident Evil games emphasized horror, and Village delivered on that. Village also pays homage to fan-favorite entry Resident Evil 4 fairly often, but doesnât lose its own campy identity. Itâs perfect for anyone looking for a little horror this holiday. Itâs priced at $29.99.
Marvelâs Guardians of the Galaxy
Set in its own universe with a unique plot from the Marvel cinematic universeâs Guardians of the Galaxy, this Eidos-MontrĂ©al is a bright spot in the Marvel gaming universe. If youâre still unsure, trust that it leans closer to Marvelâs Spider-Man than Marvelâs Avengers on the gaming scale. And itâs $38.99.
Far Cry 6
The latest Far Cry game might be fairly divisive but it still managed to enrapture fans, especially those who arenât immediately fatigued by the idea of a bigger and better open-world Ubisoft game. Giancarlo Espositoâs performance as antagonist AntĂłn Castillo gained quite the praise here, too. If youâre curious about the Far Cry series or a devout fan that hasnât managed to get around to this one quite yet, itâs available on PSN for $35.99.
Grand Theft Auto Trilogy
Sure, it was notoriously buggy. But maybe thatâs exactly why youâve been waiting for the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy to go on sale. If so, you can pick up this slice of messy gaming history for $47.99.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Yes, this one is a PlayStation 5 exclusive, but it makes use of the technology in ways weâre not yet seeing across the board. And itâs a solid platformer, especially for fans of the Ratchet & Clank Series. Rift Apart is on sale for $49.69.

Marvelâs Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Have you seen No Way Home and are itching for a little bit more Spider-Man? Marvelâs Spider-Man: Miles Morales made a big splash last year around the launch of the next generation of consoles. It garnered praise matching that of its predecessor Marvelâs Spider-Man from 2018. If you still havenât swung through New York City as the lovable Into the Spiderverse protagonist, you can pick it up for $29.99.
