In the most recent episode of Pokémon XY, Ash dressed up as Snorlax for, pretty much, most of the show. He wasn’t alone.
The episode was set against a local festival. All the trainers decided to dress up as Pokémon.

The Pocket Monsters also dress up. So, for example, Pikachu is cosplaying as a Psyduck.
