Tim Schafer, creative force behind Grim Fandango and Brutal Legend, is ready and willing to give you that Psychonauts sequel youâve been dreaming of. Now he just needs a publisher to finance the damn thing.
When asked by games mag PSM3 about the possibilities of a sequel to 2006âs quirky psychic adventure, Schafer said âIâm ready to do it. Iâd love to do it. Itâs really a question of getting a publisher whoâs interested in doing it.â
While Psychonauts wasnât exactly a runaway commercial successâwe probably would have seen a Psychonauts 2 by now if it wereâSchafer believes that the gameâs long tail sales via Steam has helped build a considerable fan base for a follow-up.
