Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. It’s a name Square Enix would be proud of, but before you go thinking some Japanese guy made it up by combining “Revenge” and “Vengeance” and nobody had the sense to tell him it was a stupid name, know that it’s a word that’s been used before.
While a previous case had found a member of the racist organisation guilty of “advocating…unlawful methods of terrorism as a means of accomplishing industrial or political reform” during a speech, the Supreme Court apparently overturned that conviction when it took a look at how stupid the accused’s testimony actually was.
“We’re not a revengent organization, but if our President, our Congress, our Supreme Court, continues to suppress the white, Caucasian race, it’s possible that there might have to be some revengeance taken.”
There you have it. The next time someone says how stupid the name Revengeance, Metal Gear fans can at least point out that it’s not flying the stupid flag alone.
