According to several sources speaking with trade site MCV, Sonyâs biggest E3 surprise may be the long-awaited â and badly-needed, at least outside of Japan â successor to the PlayStation Portable.
The sources donât hail from inside Sony, or relate specifically to the rumoured deviceâs design; instead, they come from various publishers, some of whom are unable to comment on PSP matters until âa specific announcement from the platform holderâ, while others have initiated âa significant increase in marketing spendâ aimed at the end of this year, something highly unusual for the current PSP.
Itâs not the first time weâve heard rumours of a true second PSP â itâs probably the 1,637th â and as E3 draws nearer, it probably wonât be the last, either.
