Say Hi To The $1500 Steam Machine

Valve might be aiming for the living room withits idea of the Steam Machine, but that doesnā€™t mean every ā€œconsoleā€ released in the family is going to be small and cheap. Digital Stormā€™s third-party offering, for example, is going to cost a ton.

Itā€™ll be showing off a PC at CES next month that it says ā€œtakes aim at the high-end of the marketā€. Including both Windows and Steam OS, itā€™ll also have a ā€œfull-size liquid cooling solution, up to a 700W power supply, and advanced airflow thermal managementā€. No word on the specs that matter; thatā€™ll wait for CES.

But for $1500 (well, theyā€™re quoting $1469), it had want to be pretty damn powerful.
