Second Skin, Pure West Filmsā documentary about the lives of the people behind the players of massively-multiplayer online games, hits select theaters today, but if you canāt make it thereās always Hulu.
Second Skin provides a rather balanced look at the relationships formed via online games, from friendships to romances to relationships that go even deeper still. Itās funny, disturbing, and disturbingly funny at the same time. I particularly enjoyed the slice-of-life moments they included, such as when the World of Warcraft players ran out of toilet paper. Donāt laugh. It happens.
Iād highly recommend catching it in the theater if you can, but if you canāt, ad-supported free video site Hulu has you covered.
