The weeks-long series of teasers for Sega’s Project RINGO have turned out to be what many had speculated—the game is another entry in the long-running Puyo Puyo puzzle-game series.

Known as Puyo Pop internationally, and occasionally retrofitted as other properties like the Genesis game Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine and Kirby’s Avalanche for the SNES, the series is known for numerical puns. Sega’s teasing of the the number “247” was a dead giveaway to some.
The official Project RINGO site is still teasing, but we’d expect it to update soon after the new Famitsu lands on newsstands.
