Saw the RZA last night, whom I know youāve talked to in the past. He performed at Namco Bandaiās launch party for Afro Samurai at the Geisha House, an event I rolled up to extremely late and without an RSVP, as Iām wont to do. Itās the kind of party that makes me feel like an old curmudgeon, one spoiled by PR spectacle and open bars with just a hint of distaste for Hollywood. Partying by obligation is not my idea of a good time, since I rarely go hogwild at such things, instead just showing up in case anything postworthy happens.
